"Jovon kennels is located in Portland, Oregon. We are proud members of the GSDCA.

I first got into GSD's....It was love at first site the first time I saw a GSD at a dog show, I was about 8 years old. And decided I had to have one! I have had them ever since!

I obtained my foundation GSD bitch, Ch. Covy-Tucker Hill's Black Velvet CGC, HIC, OFA while working at Covy-Tucker Hill Kennels. I got her when she was 1 1/2..and trained her. As time went on, I finished her! I approached Gloria about possibly purchasing Velvet since I had heard she was available! I was sooo thrilled when Cappy and Gloria offered her to me!

We also share our home with our house cat "Lacey" a Blue-Cream Exotic Persian, her son Tony, and our new kitten Dice.

Here at Jovon we breed for "the total dog." With gorgeous type, movement, sound in mind and body and intelligence. Our dogs have impressive pedigrees, with Champion, GV, Select Champion, bloodlines throughout. Our goal here at Jovon is to produce top winning GSDs with outstanding temperaments that make wonderful family additions and dreams of winning come true.

Jovon Kennels adheres to the AKC Breeder code of ethics.
Each breeding is carefully planned. The sire and dam are OFA hips/elbows and/or PennHip certified and tested for genetic problems to ensure a healthy litter.
We give special consideration to loving show, herding, obedience and agility homes.

We socialize our puppies from "Day 1" and only place them in LOVING homes. All prospective puppy buyers are screened, and all puppies are sold on contracts with guarantees. Puppies will only be sold to families where limited dogs reside.
